BRING DOWN THE CURTAIN.

The one thing that remains constant is change, and we all experience it. Sometimes, change occurs as a result of science, technology or empirical data. We build upon our success, learn from our failures and hopefully, the result is generational progress. The work shows us the work. 

Sometimes, change occurs because we just flat out get it wrong! Throughout history, we’ve gotten a lot wrong; the earth is flat and is the center of the universe, or one is counted as less than a full human because of their race or gender – or witches, homosexuals and Christians should be burned at the stake. Slavery, war, tyranny, religious persecution, racism and genocide, just to name a few. 

Amazingly, there are many living today, on this planet and in your neighborhood, that continue to hold these views. Shouldn’t we stand against such atrocities?

Is religion any different? Is there a ‘flat earth’, dead wrong, theology in religion still today?  Aren’t the stakes much higher?

[28] And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)

Religion, is satin’s greatest tool, and the author of confusion. The great deceiver is subtly lulling billions away from the gospel of Christ, obstacles, that trap and prohibit well meaning souls from ever reaching Christ. 

In an attempt to get people to Jesus, don’t we have to pull back the curtain on the many false doctrines that serve as obstacles to the truth of Christ’s finished work? Not to cause dissension, but in love, to lead souls to Christ.  

Isn’t it love, that moves us to tell the truth?

There’s no love, in tolerating false doctrine and false teaching. 

Would you alert someone, if the pure, perfect, water, they were about to consume, contained just a little poison? What if they wouldn’t listen? Would you rip it from their hands?  

This is a picture of how satan through religion, has perverted the pure, perfect, truth, of the finished work of Christ. 

Religion, has added a little poison here and a little there, masquerading as truth. 

[7] Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. (Galatians 1:7) 

Do we risk offending people with this truth? 

Do we risk offending God by not sharing it?

Christ, fervently offended the religious. 

God, will not tolerate the perverting of His gospel. 

Similar to the egregious errors of our secular history, reason, empirical data, and even science are pulling back the curtain and exposing the preposterous doctrines of religion; All guided by the Holy Spirit. 

Religion has painted itself into a corner, by claiming their doctrines are infallible. (only God is infallible) Erroneous doctrine, created by man, not consistent with God’s word, WILL be exposed. To change and admit their error now, would bring down their institutions like a house of cards. They must continue to defend these errors as truth, because that’s what made them who they are. They either have to continue the error, with some concocted explanation or fall. Great institutions, (denominations) over thousands of years, were built on these errors. Billions of dollars, assets and livelihoods, rest on these errors. They must defend it or lose it.  

The separation of God and man, (obstacle) due to sin, has been removed. His will to redeem and reconcile mankind, has been accomplished by Jesus Christ and witnessed to by the Holy Spirit. Finished! Faith, and faith alone, is the key that opens the door to salvation and eternal life. 

The Holy of Holies, was separated by a veil, where the priest would go once a year, to offer a blood sacrifice for himself and the people. This was the the system or economy, which God had given man to redeem himself, under the law of Moses. (Done to ultimately lead us to Grace) It was a shadow of things to come. 

When Christ, died on the cross, for the sin of the world, the temple veil that separated the Holy of Holies, was torn from top to bottom.  Christ’s sinless, perfect, flesh would be torn, shedding royal blood for the final, perfect, sacrifice, allowing humanity to enter divinity. Friends, this, (Christ) is the door, the narrow and exclusive way. 

[20] By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (Hebrews 10:20)

[14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. ( Hebrews 10:14)

[15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:15

This was the end of religion; a new and better way!  Man couldn’t do it! But now, by grace, through faith, man could be restored, redeemed; where God wanted him in the first place – with Him. 

A new covenant; not one God would make with man as before, but one that He made an oath with, and swore to by Himself. 

God’s oath, and guarantee is Christ, entering into heaven, a more perfect tabernacle than the ones built with hands. 

[11] But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; ( Hebrews 9:15)

Paul, exhorts his listeners to leave the elementary things of religion, and come to maturity in the finished work of Christ.  

[1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, [2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (Hebrews 6:1,2)

The Son, in eternity, explained that sacrifice and offering is not desired, and  the blood of bulls and goats, once a year, could never take away sins, “but a body…Thou has prepared for me”. Do you see this? A body. 

The eternal son, took on a body of human flesh, to be broken and die for sin. (This was done before the foundation of the earth Ephesians 1:11)

The only payment that could satisfy a just God. 

The wages of sin is death. Jesus, the perfect sinless lamb died!  PAID IN FULL!

[10] (By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10;10)

It’s finished! Gods way! 30] (When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. (John 19:30) 

Christ, rebuked religion, because false teachers used it for their own glory and gain. (Sound familiar?)

Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, rebuked religion and false teachers. 

Shouldn’t we stand against false teaching?

Why on earth do we need to concoct a “Tower of Babel” religion, when God has taken away all the obstacles? Why on earth would religious institutions now, add obstacles, in this clear, simple, path, that God has provided for all, through the finished work of Christ?

Answer: We wrestle not against flesh and blood. 

Friends, make no mistake, the dear souls blinded by these tactics are not to blame, but the father of lies, that has lulled them into a false belief. The fall of man was caused by this deception. Satan, said from the very beginning: “Did God REALLY SAY, thou shall not eat”? The same is happening today with the twisting of scripture.  “Did God really say”?

We must never attack these dear souls, but lovingly show them the truth of Gods word, praying they will be opened to it. 

The billions, who teach and hold fast to unbiblical doctrine, for the purpose of sustaining their institutions, are great obstacles to the Christ of the Bible. 

They preach and believe another gospel and another Christ. 

[8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8)

Paul, is explaining here, that any perversion of the gospel of Christ shall be cursed. Religion says: anyone that doesn’t follow ‘their”rules and doctrine should be cursed. 

Who would you believe?

I challenge you to read some of the religious catechisms and creeds, that are contrary to the word of God.  

How can you know?

Here’s a start:

Does your religious institution add to or take away, in any way, from the finished work of Jesus Christ, for salvation? (Baptism, tithing, works, church attendance, eucharist, speaking in tongues, transubstantiation, etc.)

Are there catechism, books of discipline, or doctrines, that add your work, sacrifice, sacrament, adoration, penance or devotion, for the purpose of aiding or maintaining what Christ has done? Do they align with scripture or have they been wrested, twisted, (2 Peter 3:16) to make your religion “fit”. 

Christ, is the end of religion, and now, is a relationship with God. 

Don’t miss this, Christ, is the only way you can have a relationship with Almighty God. Religion won’t do it, we tried that and failed. All the prophets and laws are fulfilled in Christ. There’s no need for alters, sacrifices, rules and ordinances.

Stay with me here, I’m not bashing any one religion, I’m bashing them all. 

I want to make it clear, I am not bashing any poor soul who has been indoctrinated and ignorant to the truth of the finished work of Christ. The veil remains on their heart, that has been blinded by satan. Only when people turn to Christ and Christ alone, will the veil be lifted. (2 Corinthians 3:14-16)

All I ask, is that you look at the entirety of scripture, contrast it with religion and see for yourselves. 

Christianity should never be conflated with the worlds religions. 

Paradigm paralysis:

All religions of the world, have one thing in common: they all have a deity, all have a documented list of things, YOU must do, to enter into and maintain a positive relationship. They all hold to a certain paradigm and like “flat earthers,” they are stubborn to leave what they hold as truth. (Colossians 2:8) 

“That’s the way we’ve always done it”, should raise a red flag in ones pursuit of truth. 

I don’t know of one religion that doesn’t add to or take away from the simple truth, that Christ, the visible manifestation of the invisible God, (Colossians 1:16,17) has finished the redemptive work for us. 

For the purpose of these writings, I’ll focus on Christianity, which holds the Bible as its authority. According to the World Christian Encyclopedia, there are 33,000 variants of Christianity. Any more than one is too many. 

The division, is proof of error. How can one truth be divided 33,000 ways?

If you read, study, and rightly divide the holy scriptures in context, from beginning to end, you will not find different ways to reconcile with God. Whether scholar or layman, if you use the scriptures and not the world’s institutional agendas, biases and paradigms, you cannot deny that they all lead to, and are fulfilled in Christ and Christ alone. 

You can, if you’re stuck in a “flat earth” mentality and not rightly dividing the scriptures in context; stuck in Leviticus, when God has moved on. (2 Timothy 2:15)

You can, if you’re parked in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; Christ’s earthly ministry under the law and to the Jewish nation. (Ephesians 2:11,12) The “rest of the story” is revealed to the apostle Paul from the risen Christ.

(Acts 9, Galatians 4:4 and all of Paul’s epistles)

You can, if you place yourself under the old covenant made with the Jewish nation, which was never to you, denying the new covenant of Grace for all. 

(Ephesians 2:11,12)

You can, if you expect God to accept you on your terms, and you’ve concocted your own  “god”. 

The Gospel of Grace 

God became flesh, by the seed of a woman, virgin born, conceived by the Holy Spirit, not man, so as not to mix His sinless, perfect, blood with that of man.* He died on a cross, shedding His sinless, perfect, sacrifice for the sins of the world – Once. (Hebrews 10:14) He was raised from the dead and seen by Peter and the 12, James, all the apostles, to include Paul and 500 others. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8)

Christ, became the firstborn of a new creation, where the regenerated, reconciled human becomes as righteous as Christ, by being placed into Him, by Him, through faith in this finished work. (Not by eating a wafer) His work not ours – The end of religion and the beginning of a relationship with our Creator. Jesus said, “I Am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

Religion continues to purport false doctrine, in an attempt to further their institutional agendas. Their flat earth, flat wrong agendas. 

It’s amazing, how God, has allowed these false claims to be exposed, as we move through time, “leaving egg on the face” of these institutions. 

Oh, how many dear souls on the path to Jesus, have  been stifled, blocked and turned away, by the dead carcasses of religion lining the road.

Friends, the SINNER’S PULPIt, is where the sinner speaks. You come to God just as you are, in any condition, anywhere, and call on Him with a pure heart. He promises to save you and change you into the likeness of His dear Son, Jesus Christ. He has done all the work, all the sacrifice has been done. He loves you, and even while you were still a sinner, He died and purchased you with His royal blood; trading His perfect, sinless, life, for yours. It’s a gift. 
Christ removed all the obstacles. Any obstacle we have now, is placed there by us.
