One cannot watch the news, listen to the radio nor converse with his fellow human without hearing about the virus and the vaccine. 

As I was researching the COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna and others, I was reminded of these words from From Genesis to Revelation reminding us of the power and spirit of God manifested in Christ and the things he did:

He healed the Leper, the sick of palsy, the helplessness of sin; and one who had a fever, the passion of sin; and all yielded to the word of Jesus. The winds and the sea were subject to His rebuke; the demons feared Him, and trembling, obeyed His command. He forgave sins and, that the scribes might have no ground for claiming it was an idle boast, He said: “That ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith He to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed” (Matthew 9:6).

Do you see this?  Disease is the manifestation of sin. Whether cancer, alcoholism, the flu, hate, pride, or pestilence, it is all sin.

Mankind was made in the image and likeness of God, absent of hate, envy, pride, pain, guilt, and sickness. He was placed in a perfect world without devastation from hurricanes, tsunamis and/or famine, but sin entered the world by one man’s disobedience. As Mildred points out what is stated in scripture, all manifestations of sin were under the command of God the Son. He stilled the raging sea and healed the lame at just His Word…

The current virus and the vaccine are yet another picture of God’s command over evil if you but except it. Just give this a thought… God shows us the spiritual in the physical because that’s how we are able to see things. “The physical things of God are seen in the physical things of His creation.” (Romans 1.20)

A vaccine is the picture of our Savior. He took the sickness of sin upon Himself, to the cross, to death, where the vaccine is developed in His rising to life. That’s exactly how vaccines are made! The virus (sin) is weakened or killed to a point where it cannot replicate itself, rendering it defeated, then given back to the human that builds resistance to it. Victory over the virus!

There has never been a vaccine like the one found in Jesus Christ! Christ is the ultimate vaccine. Christ takes the major problem humans have (sin), which leads to death, renders it dead at the cross (vaccine), raises to life and gives it back to those humans willing to accept it, causing them to build antibodies to sin as they continue their earthly journey. This vaccine not only works on death, but evil of every kind. Hate, division, lust, drunkenness, greed, pride, selfishness, self – righteousness, are all subject to the antibodies of love.

In God’s love and mercy, the vaccine even works against the stupid things I do in the flesh, freeing me from guilt and worry and assures me of His Grace upon Grace. It assures me of my change of heart and my change of desires that long to be as He is. It is the assurance that He will never leave me.

Our earthly temples will perish, ravished by sickness and disease. The difference is that in Christ (when we have the vaccine) we will have peace in these situations, peace beyond our understanding. We will have hope in physical healing or the next best thing: presence with the Lord! We will have peace in knowing that death is not the end. Death will not have the last word. We have peace in knowing that when we die physically, we will be present with the Lord. As the virus is changed from death to life, so will we be changed in a moment. Our eternal spirit—made to live with God forever but lost due to one man’s sin – is made alive and free from death, if we but take of “The” vaccine.

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.). Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” (Romans 5.17-19)

You don’t need an appointment and it’s free to all age groups, all gender, race and religion.

It’s as close as the sinner’s pulpit.
