Where are you?

Where are you?

This question causes anxiety when you are not where you are supposed to be.

As a boy, I would steal my dad’s cigarettes and go out behind the barn to smoke.

I knew this was wrong and when I heard my dad yell  “where are you”, I was terrified!

Have you ever been somewhere you knew you shouldn’t be and your spouse calls asking “where are you”?  You can tell the truth and tell them you’re having a drink with someone you shouldn’t be having a drink with or….. you can fib (bold faced lie) and tell them you are helping a coworker get through a troubled time. “So….. who….is the coworker”, they ask.

Now, it’s not only “where are you”, but “who are you with”?

God asks the same question. Where are you and who are you with?

The difference is we can’t lie to God.

Where are you Christian? Are you standing with God or the world?

Where are you on the “hot topic” issues of today? (They haven’t changed).

You see, when we “confess” our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us “ALL” of our unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 KJV

[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Jesus Christ died once on the cross for the sin of the world, not to be repeated. His sacrifice was sufficient. His royal blood paid the sin debt in full!!!! Past, present and future!!!!!  Hebrews 10:10-12 KJV

[10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. [11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: [12] But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

“Where are you”? God asks the first man Adam and his wife Eve.  They were hiding….. from God. You know the story. Genesis 3:8-9 KJV

[8] And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. [9] And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

By the Grace of God, mankind could go from “hiding from” God ( in Adam) to “hiding in” God. ( in Christ)

Colossians 3:3 KJV

[3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Where are you? In Adam or in Christ? Who are you with? Christ or the world?

The new blood bought believer, by faith in His finished work on the cross, was crucified with Christ and raised with Him ( Romans 6) and has a new obedient heart and … takes on the mind of Christ. Philippians 4:7 KJV

[7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV

[16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

When we confessed our sins, we were forgiven once and for all. The word confess means to agree.

From Strongs Greek Concordance: 3670 homologéō (from 3674 /homoú, “together” and 3004 /légō, “speak to a conclusion”) – properly, to voice the same conclusion, i.e. agree (“confess”); to profess (confess) because in full agreement; to align with (endorse).

Do you agree with God or the world?

When you agree with, condone or support, a person, an institution, an organization that does not agree with God, you are complicit with the actions and decisions of such.

As we go into a national election, voting for the leader of this country, have you considered where you are and who you are with?

Do those you support agree with God or do they support that which is against Gods word? (Perhaps neither side does). You say, we should not mix our faith with political agendas!

Of course we should!!!

When we walk in the Spirit, we will have the mind of God and the Holy Spirit will guide us in all things. Do you think He will lead you to disagree with God!  Not a chance!

Please consider where you are, who you are with and what you support as a confessed (agree with God) Christian.

Friends, please investigate the truth for yourself and ask yourself if those you support and the policies they create and condone agree with God.

Can you separate who you are in Christ with who you are in the polling booth?

Remember who you are in your new identity and in ALL things express Him.

It is in love that I ask you to consider these things.

Please do not confuse this with condemnation for anyone. There is no condemnation for those now in Christ. Romans 8:1 KJV [1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Please don’t confuse this with salvation. We can be a born again believer and hold unbiblical views. But if those views do not agree with what God has said, they are not from God.

As Christians, (followers of Christ) do we agree with His teachings?

As Christians, we are all in different places. We are all being changed by the renewing of our minds. Romans 12:2 KJV[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Never be so haughty to think that you know all there is to know or that you are where you are supposed to be. That happens when we die; Our thoughts and actions align perfectly with Christ’s then. Until then we will continue to grow as newborn babes into mature Christians.

So, I ask you to seriously and prayerfully consider “where you are” and “who you are with” not to condemn you, but that possibly you might be edified.

Look to the Holy Spirit as He guides and teaches.

When we were saved, Christ did something for us and… too us.

Because it is He that lives in you, He will bring your mind and actions in line with His. We must yield to this nurturing and agree with Him as He builds us up. He will change us to be like Him. 1 John 3:2 KJV

[2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Jesus Christ is the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. John 1:29 KJV

[29] The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

No matter what you have done, He will forgive you and cleanse you from “All” unrighteousness.

You can not out sin His Grace!!!

Come to Him today and find peace that surpasses all understanding.

As Christians, we must continually seek His wisdom and allow Him to live through us.

Galatians 2:20 KJV

[20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

[5] Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

It matters not who wins or loses. What matters is…

Where are “YOU” and “WHO” are you with?

Amen.
